Since the society is developing in a flash, technologies are gradually replacing more and more manual products. Initially I thought that the technology is never going to replace creativity or design; however, I found out that these two are not conflicted with each other because technology itself can be counted as a kind of design. This art work is the combination of “old” and “new”, or “manual” and “mechanical” technology. Specifically, the cello is a classical western instrument, and the water-cooling system is the interior part of the computer crate in the modern society. Set the water-cooling system into the shape of cello is an interesting way for us to see how well these seemingly conflicted factors can interact with each other. It is an idea of “seeking the relative coordination in an absolute domain”.
